Democrats Shutdown Government to Help FBI Cover-Up

Washington, DC – The Democrats have done it again, this time holding the entire nation to ransom for the sake of some illegal aliens. But as the “vagina hat” wearing Women’s March storm the capital and the nation is distracted by the bang and clatter of another federal government shutdown, a far more serious Obama-administration abuse of power is going unnoticed and being covered up by the FBI.

With the government shutdown, all “non-essential” federal employees will get furloughed, including staff at the FBI – which is precisely what the Bureau needs at this point. According to an FBI staffer who has been classified as “non-essential,”

“The shutdown could not have come at a better time, with Congress distracted with the government shutdown and the memo alleging abuses by the intelligence community by Republican Congressman Devin Nunes and his staff still being held, the FBI can destroy whatever evidence it needs to with less eyes on them.”

Often it’s the federal employees who are the secretaries, the stenographers, the personal assistants who are considered “non-essential” and also those most likely to be witnesses to any destruction of evidence as they would handle top secret information but not necessarily have access to it.

The FBI has not been permitted to see the memo Nunes and his staff wrote about alleged abuses by the intelligence community. According to Andrew Ames, a spokesperson for the FBI,

“The FBI has requested to receive a copy of the memo in order to evaluate the information and take appropriate steps if necessary. To date, the request has been declined.”

Nunes, who heads the powerful House intelligence community, put together the four-page memo based on intelligence the FBI showed him and a few of his staff, as well as Congressman Adam Schiff, the top Democrat on the committee. More than 150 members of the House have seen Nunes’ memo. Scores are calling for its release, while Democrats say it is ” misleading set of talking points attacking the FBI.”

The fact that Republicans refuse to show the memo to the FBI has Democrats concerned that the memo may implicate not just Hillary Clinton, James Comey and the Robert Mueller investigation, but the entire Democratic party. There is a growing body of evidence that the FBI under then-director James Comey was under the influence of Hillary Clinton both when she was Secretary of State and thereafter. Including the Bureau surveilling the Trump transition team just over a year ago.

A former FBI staffer who was present for the 2013 government shutdown under the Obama administration said,

“A shutdown is the perfect time for cover-ups. It’s almost like the lights are out and you can just clear whatever you want and when the lights come back on again, you won’t find what you’re looking for.”

The government shutdown continues as Senate Democrats continued to stonewall on Sunday night. Another vote is scheduled for 12 noon Eastern.
