Washington, DC – The man who is accused of killing Indianapolis Colts linebacker Edwin Jackson in a DUI accident on Sunday is an illegal alien and Mexican national wanted by federal immigration authorities for deportation.
Authorities say that Alex Cabrera Gonsales, 37, drove his truck into an emergency shoulder on the highway and plowed into a “ride-share vehicle,” killing Jackson and 54-year-old Jeffrey Monroe. Gonsales, a Mexican national, was booked at Marion County Jail, where records showed that he is wanted for deportation. The Washington Times reports,
“Mr. Cabrera Gonsales didn’t have a driver’s license, tried to flee the scene of the accident and had a blood-alcohol level of at least .15 (nearly twice the legal limit).”
The booking document, which specifies that Gonsales has a detainer request on him is wanted for deportation as is an illegal alien.
Sgt. John Perrine of the Indiana State Police said,
“It is believed Gonsales was intoxicated and was driving without a license.”
“He was transported to the Marion County Jail, the result of the test for intoxication is pending.”
The latest crime committed by an illegal alien comes on the back of a string of crimes which the mainstream media has ignored, as the debate on immigration rages on Capitol Hill and in the White House.
It is with a heavy heart that we share the loss of one of our own.
Edwin Jackson always brought a smile to our locker room and the community. Our thoughts are with his family and friends during this difficult time.

President Donald Trump has repeatedly pointed out, during his presidential campaign and in the Oval Office, on the nature of the illegal aliens who cross over into this country. The President famously kicked off his presidential bid almost two years ago with harsh, but prophetic words for Mexico,
“They are not our friend, believe me. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.”
Perhaps the only inaccuracy in that speech was the assumption that some were “good people.” Crimes committed by illegal aliens often go unreported by the mainstream media or are confined to the local news agencies and never receive national exposure. Crimes along the U.S. towns and cities which border Mexico are often some of the most violent and heinous crimes, resembling the carnage from our southern neighbor more so than anything Americans are used to witnessing. Instead, isolated shooting events are used as a clarion call for greater gun control while illegal aliens are allowed to run riot within our borders.
